Did the moon landings really happen? I have no clue, I’m not an astronaut, but NASA certainly wants you to think so—they’ve released 8,400 high-res moon landing pictures that they say are definitely real and not at all photoshopped, curiously timed with the release of The Martian, which I’m sure is just a coincidence, right??

So is this latest photo dump a cool-as-hell look at history or evidence of the biggest scam perpetrated against the American people since the government floated the notion that jet fuel could melt steel beams? Who’s to say, really? Neil Armstrong, I guess, but he’s dead now. RIP, man.

I heartily disagree. I shoot film, and I’ve used it in the past, and I’ve been able to get a hold of expired rolls here and there lately. It looks amazing.

I saw a lot of bad Kchrome in my previous life at a camera store. But in the hands of a skilled photographer- it really was amazing. But I would also say that any quality E6 film in the hands of someone with the technical know-how could compete in terms of color saturation and contrast, especially Velvia. Stability, is another thing Kodachrome was incredible stable. I would shoot a roll of Kodachrome that was left in a hot car. Velvia? No way.

I would bet you that a lot of people who are talking about “Kodachrome” are really talking about slide film. We would constantly have people come in and demand Kodachrome, and then go on and on about how they always shot slide film, and Kodachrome is the best. They only shot Kodachrome, Kodachrome, Kodachrome. Then they come back the next day and ask for same day developing. We tell them, no, we’re sorry, it has to go to Kodak. No one has a K14 line around here - it will be 2 weeks. Then they freak out and tell me how they always get their slides back the same day. Right. Because, they always shot Kodak Ektachrome, which is not Kodachrome.

Where are you having Kodachrome developed? I though the last K14 line closed a few years ago.

Well, there’s one star in the sky in these pictures... the sun. It overwhelms all the other dim stars with immense brightness, similar to how it does during daytime on Earth. A film camera isn’t going to capture dim stars and brightly-lit daylight objects in the same exposure.

quick exposure on the camera, much faster than that of what most cameras use. Also, the reflection of light on the surface of the moon is pretty intense.

Lol i’ve never seen this, but you sure as hell don’t call someone a coward and a liar (even if they are, not saying Buzz is whatsoever) without expecting a punch to the face or some other form of physical violence. Not condoning the behavior of either party, just saying thems fighting words.

Buzz probably got sued, but if i was a judge or jury on that case i would say “well he told you to stop repeatedly and tried to get away from you, and you still asked for it.. so you got it .. one free ride to the moon via Buzz’s fist”
